I was born in Normandie, France in 1973, although I’m Breton, hence that special and unknown name I have…
I started to learn bobbin lace at Bayeux conservatory with Mylène Salvador (Meilleur ouvrier de France 1982), Fabienne Salvador and later with Florence Quinette. There I was taught the most simple lace styles like torchon, following with Cluny Lace and its Tallies, Tonder and finally Chantilly lace and Courseulles Polychrome.
Life brought me to Spain, where I’ve followed my path, at first with the knowledge I had acquired I started to draw prickings with the computer in a totally self taught fashion and started collaborating with Manos Maravillosas Magazine in 1996. At that time, I taught bobbin lace in private classes and in collaboration with different associations in San Sebastián de los Reyes, Madrid, the city where I resided.
In 2013 I started to receive lace classes again in the area where I currently live, which is the North area of Madrid, Pedrezuela more specifically; this allows me to have the privilege of, right now, having more than 30 students, with whom I greatly enjoy.
In 2016 and 2017, I took two intensive courses of Chantilly lace with Ulrike Voelcker, who crafts this type of lace in a fashion completely different to the one we have in France and that I found thrilling; the reason why I decided to take part in her design course, which has taken place in Germany for five years in different intensive courses.
2018 is the year in which I decide to dedicate more time to this passion of mine which is bobbin lace and turn it into my main activity. With projects like the organization of an intensive course of Martina Wolter-Kampman, another course of Ulrike Voelcker in Valladolid in collaboration with my friend and great lacer Rosa Asensio. Also, the organization of a Lacer Meeting in San Sebastián de los Reyes, going full circle to my place of origin here in Spain. Lately, I’ve been preparing intensive courses of Cluny Lace and Brioude Polychrome to try and spread this beautiful lace techniques in Spain.
Continuing along the same path, in 2019 I start a formation on Duchess lace with Annick Wils.
